Best strategy to access the box from the internet.

Till now I've accessed my GB Quad 4K only from my local network. I don't have the HTTP and HTTPS autentication ON.

Now I'm plannig to spend some days away from home and I would lije to be able to control the box from there with Openwebif through the internet.

To be able to remotely access my other PCs at home, I set up a VPN in my FritzBox 7530 router with WireGuard simplified procedure for both a win 10 notebook and for an Android tablet.

In this scenario, with the VPN ON, I should be able to reach the Quad in the same way I do at home: right?

And this should be safe enough, being in a tunnel: right? Or it would better to enable the HTTP/HTTPS autentication anyway? And maybe change the port number (now 80)?

Or there is any better strategy?
