Entweder du verwendest ein VPN, oder du erstellst Portfreigaben für die Ports 80 (http), 21 (FTP) und ggf. noch 22 (SSH) für deinen Receiver. Solltest du kein IPv6 haben, dann achte bitte noch darauf, die Ports nicht 1:1 freizugeben. Also nicht Port 80 extern an Port 80 intern des Receivers zu leiten. Nimm stattdessen für den externen Port lieber eine Zahl zwischen 10.000 und 65.536, die du dann intern an Port 80 des Receivers weiterleitest. Mit den Ports 21 und 22 verfährst du genauso.,

Jetzt brauchst du nur noch eine DynDNS und mit beidem kannst du jetzt von außen auf deinen Receiver zugreifen.

Nur als Hinweis - Portfreigaben ohne VPN kann man machen. Bedenke dabei aber, dass nicht nur du sondern auch das gesamte Internet auf die freigegebenen Ports zugreifen kann. Username und Passwort sind das mindeste. Zudem solltest du Port 443 mit SSL/TLS verwenden (wofür man möglicherweise ein gültiges Zertifikat braucht), sonst werden Username und Passwort unverschlüsselt übertragen.

Also kann man machen, das funktioniert auch - aber "Use at your own risk". Es ist möglich, dass durch Exploits in OpenWebIF Angreifer auf alle Geräte in deinem Netzwerke zugreifen können. Das gilt insbesondere, wenn du FTP oder SSH frei gibst. Mit FTP könnte ein Angreifer ein Script auf deinem Receiver ablegen und dafür sorgen, dass es auch ausgeführt wird. Mit SSH könnte er direkt Skripten und Befehle ausführen. Um über OpenWebIF Timer zu setzen, brauchst du FTP und SSH nicht. In OpenWebIF kannst du aber auch ein Telnet-Terminal öffnen und dann wird dein Netzwerk daheim ebenfalls angreifbar.

Ein VPN verringert das Risiko deutlich. Ob dein Wo-da-fon Router selbst einen VPN-Zugang bereitstellen kann, weiß ich nicht. Wenn ja, dann sollte die Leistung des Routers ausreichen um für OpenWebIF die notwendige Datenmenge zu verarbeiten. Zum Streamen wird es vermutlich nicht reichen.

Doesn't the Quad 4k have automatic port opening for IPv4?

After I enabled that on my router (Fritzbox 7530) for the IP of the box (static), I could not see any port numbers shown.

When I did the same with a Plex server, in the Abilitations page of the Fritz I could see a port number with "open ports via IPv4".

I can't see that for the Quad.

Would you be so kind to elaborate the way to do it a little more in detail, maybe step by step, please?

Let's say my Quad static local IP is "LocIP" and my static public IP is "PubIP".

In the Fritz, I set up a port enabling (call it as you like) for the LocIP like this:

Device = HTTP server

Protocol = TCP

Device ports from 80 to 80

External port = xxxxx (a number between 10000 and 65536)

Then, in the abilitations list for that LocIP I can see:

Status = green led

Name = HTTP server

Protocol = TCP

Internet address = PubIP

External port = xxxxx

In GB Player I set up a device like this:

IP address = PubIP

DynDNS address = none

Protocol = HTTP

HTTP port = 80

Streaming port = 8001

...

Autentication = enabled

Username = Quad username

Password = quad password

But it doesn't connect.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the protocols. You can see that in the player I can choose between HTTP and HTTPS

but in the fritz I don't have the HTTP option in the protocol dropdown box.

Ant patient help would be appreciated.

As an alternative I tried to set up a VPN following FritzBox instructions so I did kept it simple with WierGuard on the fritz,

then installed the WG client on the Android tablet and canned the QR code on the PC and that's it.

I then put the phone in thethering, with the phone line data on and connected the table to the phone wi-fi.

With the vpn on, I can reach the web server of the Fritz just putting its private address in the browser

and I can reach the web server of an access point I have upstairs, but if I write the address of the Quad,

the WebIf doe not appear.

Any help, please?
